PROFESSIONAL CERAMIC COATINGS
Ceramic coating is a liquid nano-ceramic that cures into a glass-like shield over your clear-coat. Unlike wax or sealants that wear off in weeks, our Ceramic systems chemically bond to protect against UV rays, road salt, bird droppings, and tree sap, with protection lasting up to 6 years, depending on the selected coating package, vehicle preparation, maintenance, use, and environmental exposure. Keep Clean ATX brings all equipment right to your home or office.

WHY CHOOSE US
Long-Term Paint Armor
The Ceramic ceramic layer is three times harder than factory clear-coat, blocking oxidation, etching, and fading for years. Contaminants never touch your original paint.
Effortless Maintenance
Super-hydrophobic properties sheet water and dirt, cutting wash time in half and eliminating the need for frequent waxing.
Boosted Resale Value
A documented coating keeps swirl marks and fading away, helping your vehicle appraise higher when it's time to sell or trade.
How Much Does Ceramic Coating Cost in Austin?
Three levels, three honest prices. Level 1 is the coating itself for newer, well-kept paint. Level 2 adds a single-stage machine polish before coating. Level 3 is the full multi-step paint correction plus coating for finishes that need real restoration. Your installer confirms which level your paint actually needs before any work begins.
Prices match the coating levels shown above and in our booking options.
OUR CERAMIC COATING PROCESS
Vehicle & Paint Assessment
We evaluate your paint's condition (contamination, defects, any existing protection) and determine the preparation your vehicle actually needs and the coating level that fits. Not every vehicle needs paint correction; the assessment tells us.
Cleaning & Surface Preparation
The surface is properly washed, decontaminated and prepared before any coating touches the paint. Preparation is most of the work in a quality coating job.
Paint Correction: When Needed
A coating does not repair existing defects; it seals in whatever is underneath. If paint correction is appropriate, we discuss your paint's condition with you before coating. Our guide on paint correction before ceramic coating explains why prep decides the result. Deep defects may be improved rather than removed; no one should promise complete scratch removal.
Coating Application
The selected coating level is applied to the properly prepared surface under suitable working conditions, stage by stage, panel by panel.
Controlled Environment
Ceramic application requires appropriate environmental conditions. For on-site service, a suitable garage or enclosed workspace is required; we don't apply coatings in uncontrolled outdoor conditions. If your location isn't suitable, we can arrange a garage-based alternative, including pickup and drop-off when appropriate.
Final Inspection & Aftercare
We inspect the finished vehicle with you and hand over care guidance so the coating keeps performing; our coated-vehicle care guide covers the routine.
Can ceramic coating be done at my home?
Yes. KCA can perform ceramic coating on-site when your location provides an appropriate garage or enclosed working environment. Because coating application is sensitive to working conditions, we don't treat it like a standard outdoor mobile wash or detail. If your property isn't suitable, we can discuss pickup/drop-off or another appropriate garage-based arrangement; just mention it when you book or call.
CERAMIC COATING QUESTIONS, ANSWERED
How much does ceramic coating cost in Austin?
KCA prices ceramic coating in three transparent levels: Level 1: Ceramic Coating ($600) for newer, well-kept paint, Level 2: Single-Stage Polish + Coating ($1,200), and Level 3: Multi-Step Correction + Coating ($1,900) for finishes that need real restoration. Your vehicle's size, paint condition and the preparation it needs determine the right option; your installer confirms the level before any work begins. Full details in our Austin ceramic coating cost guide.
How long does ceramic coating last in Texas?
Protection can last up to 6 years, depending on the selected coating package, vehicle preparation, maintenance, use, and environmental exposure. Texas sun and outdoor parking are exactly the conditions coatings are designed to face, but no coating lasts the same on every vehicle; see how long ceramic coating lasts in Austin.
Do I need paint correction before ceramic coating?
Not every vehicle needs the same level of correction, but a coating locks in whatever condition your paint is in when it's applied. That's why every KCA coating starts with an inspection: it determines whether your paint needs a polish, a multi-step paint correction, or is ready to coat as-is. Our guide on paint correction before ceramic coating explains how prep decides the result.
Can you ceramic coat a brand-new car?
Yes, subject to the same inspection and preparation as any other vehicle. New paint can still carry contamination, transport residue or dealer-installed wash marks, so "new" doesn't automatically mean "ready to coat." It also doesn't mean every new vehicle needs correction; the inspection tells us.
Do you ceramic coat Teslas and EVs?
Yes. KCA regularly works on Tesla and other EV paint, including on-site service where a suitable garage or enclosed workspace is available. See our Tesla ceramic coating guide for what's different about coating an EV.
Does ceramic coating prevent scratches or rock chips?
No. A ceramic coating improves surface protection, gloss and ease of maintenance, but it does not make paint scratch-proof and it is not paint protection film (PPF). Anything that would scratch or chip unprotected paint can still damage coated paint.
Does ceramic coating stop water spots?
There's no guarantee against water spots. A coated surface sheds water more easily and is easier to clean, but mineral deposits can still etch spots if water is allowed to dry and remain on the paint, especially with Central Texas hard water. Prompt drying still matters.
How should I wash a ceramic-coated vehicle?
Hand wash with a pH-neutral shampoo and soft media, avoid automatic brush car washes, and dry with clean microfiber. Regular, gentle maintenance is what keeps a coating performing; our coated-vehicle care guide covers the full routine.
Can ceramic coating be done as a mobile service?
Yes. When your location provides an appropriate garage or enclosed working environment, we perform the full coating process on-site. Because application is sensitive to working conditions, we don't treat ceramic like a standard outdoor mobile wash or detail, and not every driveway or parking spot is appropriate. If your property isn't suitable, we can discuss pickup/drop-off or another appropriate garage-based arrangement when you book.
Why does ceramic coating need a garage?
Coating application works best when the vehicle can be prepared and treated in an environment protected from uncontrolled weather, direct sun exposure, dust and airborne contamination while the product is being applied. A garage or enclosed workspace gives the coating a clean, stable setting to bond properly, which is why we treat it differently from a regular wash or detail.
When is ceramic coating NOT worth it?
Honestly, not for everyone. If a vehicle is close to the end of its life with you, if the budget would force skipping the preparation the paint actually needs, or if you'd rather not maintain the coating afterward, a quality wax or sealant detail may serve you better. We'd rather match you to the right service than sell every visitor the biggest package.
